Leadership

Full STEAM Ahead

President

Full STEAM Ahead is my school's STEM club, bringing students together through workshops, publications, and inter-school competitions. I oversee recruitment, weekly meetings, and the organisation of the club's flagship events. During my presidency, membership has grown from 133 to over 170 students. I also coordinate guest speakers and educational visits, helping create more opportunities for students to explore STEM beyond their regular classes.

  • 133 to 170+club members
  • 3,500+newsletter readers

STEM Workshops

Since April 2025, I have organised more than five workshops for junior students, using experiments and interactive problems to introduce STEM concepts. Sessions have explored magnetism, resonance, and the mathematics of polygons. I enjoy designing activities that give younger students something to investigate themselves, encouraging them to ask questions and work towards an explanation.

Cathedral Mathematics Competition

In 2025, I served as CMC's Outreach Manager, leading outreach efforts as participation grew from 2,500 in 2024 to 5,200 in 2025, its largest edition. I also designed over 50 questions for the senior category and Integration Bee, handled inquiries involving more than 3,500 participants and 40 schools, and helped manage the competition's Discord server and website. As FSA President in 2026, I headed the Organising Committee and oversaw the contest's organisation. I designed a new website to centralise participant records and streamline invitations, updates, and certificate distribution. I also created over 150 questions across topics including number theory, probability, algebra, integration, and set theory.

  • 2,500 to 5,200participants, 2024 to 2025
  • 150+questions created, 2026

CATHCON

For CATHCON's 2025 edition, an international inter-school computing competition with over 200 participants, I oversaw the work of more than 20 peers. My responsibilities included question creation, participant inquiries, and conducting the competition. In 2026, I assumed overall oversight of the event as FSA President.

InQuest

In September 2025, I was selected as one of two students leading the organisation of InQuest, the club's science fair. I managed registrations and coordinated competition materials, working with the organising team to keep the event running smoothly.

Decrypted

I have contributed to Decrypted, FSA's newsletter, since June 2022, writing more than five articles, helping design over seven editions, and editing two. As President, I also oversee the publication, which reaches a mailing list of more than 3,500 readers.

Cathedral Mathematics Society

Secretary

As secretary of the Cathedral Mathematics Society, I help organise meetings, training sessions, and activities that encourage students to explore mathematics beyond the syllabus. I have assisted with competition preparation for students in Grades 8 to 10, including training for the AMC, UKMT, and University of Waterloo mathematics competitions. My work also extends to the society's Problem of the Week initiative and Mathematica magazine, giving students opportunities to engage with unfamiliar problems and share their mathematical interests.

  • 30 to 100+society members
  • 6editors led on Mathematica

Problem of the Week

I created the Problem of the Week to give younger students a regular opportunity to practise mathematical problem-solving. I select and adapt questions from University of Waterloo resources, previous CMC editions, and other mathematics competitions. By August 2026, the collection contained more than 30 problems, offering students a growing resource to explore at their own pace.

  • 30+problems by August 2026
  • 150+weekly users

Mathematica, Editor-in-Chief

Mathematica is our school's mathematics magazine, featuring student articles that explore competition problems, possible solutions, and the ideas behind them. After contributing articles and helping with editing and design, I became Editor-in-Chief in March 2026. I now lead a team of six editors, seek out student submissions, and oversee editing and the final publication design. During my tenure, we have published more than 30 articles across three editions.

Community service

21 Million Green Bombay

Founder · September 2025 to present

My internship at RecycleKaro showed me how much responsible e-waste disposal depends on public awareness and accessible collection. I founded 21 Million Green Bombay to bring these opportunities to residential communities in Mumbai.

I organise collection drives with residential societies, coordinate logistics, and communicate with residents about participation. Alongside the drives, I prepare factsheets and children's storybooks explaining why discarded electronics require careful handling and how residents can dispose of them responsibly.

I authored two children's books for the drives, Meera's Mountain of Mobiles and Gizmo's Second Life, so that even young children understand why discarded phones need careful handling.

Through these efforts, the initiative has collected 2,500 kg of e-waste and reached 7,500 residents. My work focuses on making participation straightforward, connecting awareness with opportunities for residents to act.

The initiative builds on my experience at RecycleKaro, where I explored recycling processes and material recovery.

Internships

Tata Power, Hydros Department

Intern · Summer 2026

During my internship at Tata Power, I explored the mathematical modelling behind hydroelectric power generation. I modelled power output using water discharge, hydraulic head, and turbine-generator efficiency, then compared these estimates with actual output to examine discrepancies.

I had field exposure across hydroelectric plants, studying reservoir, inflow and generation operations and the field instrumentation behind the readings.

I also used interpolation to estimate water levels between recorded observations and worked with calibration curves to interpret measurements used in the model.

The placement connected mathematical relationships with the practical challenges of measurement. Comparing modelled and recorded output helped me understand how the accuracy of input data and the assumptions within a model affect its estimates, and why discrepancies require investigation before conclusions can be drawn.

RecycleKaro (Evergreen RecycleKaro India Ltd.)

Intern · Summer 2025

My internship at RecycleKaro introduced me to e-waste and lithium-ion battery recycling, with a focus on material recovery and recovery-efficiency analysis. I studied the processes involved in recovering valuable materials and explored how mathematical analysis could help evaluate their efficiency.

I gathered process data on lithium, cobalt and nickel recovery yields, mapped material flows, and analysed the efficiency gains after the plant's expansion.

I documented my work in the report "Mathematical Perspectives on Sustainability: Metal Recovery Efficiencies at RecycleKaro". I also helped develop Reloop Today, an app that allows for increased access to e-waste pick-up and drop-off points for residents.

The experience encouraged me to think about the connection between industrial recycling and public participation. It subsequently informed my decision to launch 21 Million Green Bombay, through which I organise community e-waste awareness and collection initiatives.
